BODY MUSIC

When reflecting on my favourite musical discoveries of the past year, the band that forefronts this recollection is definitely AlunaGeorge.  Sexy, stylish, and sleek, Aluna Francis and George Reid have crafted a sound of their own, blending the best of R&B, indie and electronic genres, and simultaneously breathing life into pop music.  Aluna has the smoothest voice in the world, and a killer sense of style (the girl's haircut is ICONIC).  In addition, the Brits were featured on Disclosure's single, White Noise, another gem of 2013.

Today, the band posted a stream of their debut album, Body Music, out July 29.  The album features remastered versions of already released songs such as You Know You Like It and Attracting Flies, as well as a slew of previously unheard material.  It's an amazing debut by an outstanding musical act, containing the perfect amount of magic to have me dancing in my bedroom into the late hours of the night.
